Chimpanzees and 12 other primates can be found in Nyungwe National Park and notable for its thrilling 70m-/230ft-high canopy walk, and Akagera National Park Rwanda’s only savannah reserve, and after recent reintroductions of rhinos and lions, you have a chance of spotting the Big Five. For some relaxation, why not stay a few days on the shore of scenic Lake Kivu. The major Rwandan lakes include Lake Kivu, Lake Ruhondo, Lake Mugesera, Lake Burera, Lake Muhazi and Lake Ihema. Lake Kivu is the biggest of the numerous freshwater bodies that are there in Rwanda.
