You are expected to arrive a night before the tour or have an early morning landing. The assigned tour driver/guide will pick you up and depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Encounter the gorillas firsthand on your trekking excursion next day. On the 3rd day, return to Entebbe.

Details

We expect your flight to land early (before 10:00 am) in Uganda. Your Tour will start from Entebbe International Airport where the assigned professional tour driver-guide will receive you , brief about the tour and then depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Bwindi is a big habitat for mountain gorillas in Uganda, harboring over 300 of them, which is almost half of the world’s gorilla population. The drive will take you to southwest Uganda by road. You will cross the equator mark, then head to Mbarara city for lunch, thereafter pass through the hilly terrain of western Uganda into Bwindi. You will arrive and do little but just check in to your accommodation and relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the next day. After breakfast, proceed to the rangers’ post. You will receive a briefing on the do's and don’ts during the trekking. You will then enter the Bwindi Forest for your adventure. The area offers a dramatic, steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense. It is crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable Return to the accommodation and have a good rest after a strenuous trek. #Optional (extra cost): If interested, you can move out to encounter the local community. You will have a relaxed breakfast with a spectacular view of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in front of you. Thereafter, you will hit the road for the return to Entebbe.
